Prof Dr Carsten Felden is Director of the Institute of Information Systems at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg (Saxony). He holds the professorship for ABWL, in particular information management/business informatics. His main research topics are business analytics, data warehousing, XBRL, IT maturity models and digitalisation in the context of business intelligence. In addition, he is one of the two managing partners of Marmeladenbaum GmbH, a vendor-neutral consulting firm specialising in all aspects of business analytics. He was Chairman of the Board of TDWI e.V. and XBRL Deutschland e.V. He has published numerous articles on research topics at international conferences as well as in scientific and practice-oriented journals. He is also a regular programme chair at international conferences such as WI, ECIS and AMCIS. In co-operation with other authors, he has also written books on data analysis in the business environment.
