After working as a professional for banking and consulting companies I joined ERGO back in 2004. Starting in ERGO's Finance / Asset Management department, I had the pleasure to lead numerous projects, both in the business and IT domain. When I learned more about the complex business model in primary insurance, I decided to focus on more insurance-related challenges. I was then responsible for the Data Management, Reporting, Self-Service Business Intelligence and Analytics team with a strong technical focus within the ERGO Germany P&C segment . I learned much about how to be (or not to be...) successful in bringing innovation and digital transformation to the company. In my current position as Head of Data Engineering and Strategy (at ERGO Digital Ventures AG, with overarching mandate for ERGO Group) I find my passion for Data, AI and IT to be in perfect balance.

We maintain partnerships with the major European bank UniCredit Group and other banks, both in Germany as well as in various European countries. ERGO is part of Munich Re, one of the leading reinsurers and risk carriers worldwide. Within the Group, ERGO is the specialist in primary insurance, i.e. for insuring private and corporate customers directly, both in Germany and abroad. The Group’s investments of 210 billion euros, of which 126 billion euros is accounted for by ERGO, are managed primarily by the joint asset management and fund company MEAG.
